Toto’s Nostalgia Museum

When I told MJ I wanted to go visit Toto’s Nostalgia Museum he told me “Why? It’s just kitchy junk, and you have to pay for it”. Well I love kitchy junk and 2000 won isn’t exactly a high price.

When I arrived I had the whole place to myself and the friendly men at the counter told me that taking pictures was allowed. Good. At first everything was a bit overwhelming as there is not much of a logical order. It’s just everything from everywhere. But once I started searching and looking around I felt like I was in some treasure cove. I could spot old Korean; toys, magazines, stickers, phones, postbox, candy. But it’s not limited to only Korean things.

It’s a great place to get lost in for a little while. The space is not very big. But I had to make multiple rounds because there was always something I had missed before. If you like old, dusty things with a story to tell you should definitely consider a visit.
